  • Business data: business name, address, Google Place ID, and other details you enter about your locations.
  • Payment data: billing information processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card number.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, referring URLs, and browser/device type.
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.

C. Review Data from Third-Party Platforms

When you connect a business location, we fetch publicly available review data from platforms such as Google, Yelp, and Facebook solely to display it in your dashboard. We do not sell, share, or use this review content for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Process payments and send billing-related communications.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, plan confirmations).
  • Send product updates and promotional emails — you may opt out at any time.
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We rely on the following legal bases (GDPR): contract performance (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (security, analytics, fraud prevention), legal obligation, and consent (marketing emails).

  • Business transfers: if ReviewPulse is acquired or merged, your data may transfer as a business asset. We will notify you beforehand.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • With your consent: in any other case, only with your explicit permission.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it longer by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, retained for up to 7 years).

Review data fetched from third-party platforms is retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted upon account closure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
